10 Secrets to Happiness – Sub-Antarctica style

Probably one of the most asked questions in the world!, what is the secret to happiness? Well here are the ten secrets to happiness, follow these ten simple rules and you can’t go wrong!

The truth of the matter is that you are solely responsible for how you feel, happiness is a choice, a choice that you are free to make no matter what the circumstances. Hard to swallow but it’s true! No matter what your circumstances! But here and now is not the time to get deep into philosophy, it is a time to have a look at the slide show below, enjoy the wildlife and scenery and feel happy!

All the photos below were taken at Macquarie Island, or Macca as the locals know it! Macca is a tiny island 35km long and on average about 5km wide, it is in Sub-Antarctica smack in the middle of the Southern Ocean. Macquarie Island is located in the Southern Ocean just South East of Tasmania at 54deg 30min South 158deg 56min East. It is 1532 km from Hobart and is home for numerous species of Penguins, Seals and Birds. The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) have a science research station there, and I spent a glorious 12 months living and working there, as well as taking hundreds of photos of the amazing wildlife and landscapes Macca has to offer.
